For weeks, these puppies have been living at a construction site in Mexico with no mother in sight.

There were originally 17 puppies between two litters.

Only 12 survived.

Kind-hearted people working nearby refused to look away. They brought food whenever they could, giving these babies just enough to keep fighting while desperately searching for help.

The stray dog crisis in many parts of Mexico is heartbreaking. Countless puppies are born without shelter, veterinary care, or anyone to protect them. Most never get the chance these little ones have been given.

Today, because of our incredible Woof & Willow community and network of rescuers, these 12 puppies are finally safe.

Tomorrow morning they’ll receive full veterinary exams and begin the care they have never had. After that, they’ll head to a loving foster home where they’ll continue to grow, heal, and remain there until they are old enough and healthy enough to travel to Colorado.

Now the real work begins.

Twelve puppies means twelve mouths to feed, twelve veterinary exams, vaccines, deworming, parasite prevention, microchips, and eventually transportation to safety. Every one of those things comes with a cost, but we know these babies are worth it.
