3/5/26 It’s 1 AM, and I just got home with eight puppies and their sweet mom. I don’t know much about this little family yet, but their story is similar to Cocoa’s.
One of the pups is half the size of the others, but is stable and nursing. I’ll post more updates tomorrow!

3/5/26 - Mama Evie and her babies are settled in . So far, Evie has shown that she has a very gentle soul and not a mean bone in her body.
When I greeted her this morning, she wagged her tail and practically hugged me. I’m so happy we had the opportunity to help her and her babies.
Evie was found as a stray and gave birth soon after. A Good Samaritan reached out to us, and we were able to step in, thanks to your support.

3/8/26 Evie is happy; she’s loved and safe. Her babies are with her; she knows there’s always food and water nearby, and someone is close. Dogs like Evie trust and forgive easily.
When I first met her, a malnourished mom, I was expecting her to be a bit defensive (understandably so). But instead, she greeted me and rolled onto her back, tail wagging. She gets excited to see my husband and me, but you can tell she had a rough past.
Dogs don’t just become this submissive; they do it to protect themselves. Here’s to Evie and her new life, here’s to her never needing to protect herself again.

3/15/26 Mama Evie & her Pokémon crew update!
This sweet girl and her babies are absolutely thriving in their foster home, growing stronger every day and keeping their foster family very busy — just the way a proper Pokémon adventure should.
Yes… This is officially a Pokémon litter, and we could not love it more.
Introducing the squad:
Mama Evie (of course), and her little team —
Squirtle, Pidgey, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Ekans, Jigglypuff, Diglett, and Mankey!
We believe Mama Evie is a Cattle Dog mix, and it looks like the pups may follow in her paw prints, possibly with a little shepherd energy in the mix — but at this age, their final evolution is still a mystery.
These little trainers-in-training will be ready for homes soon, and applications are now open!
Gotta adopt ‘em all? Maybe not…
…but you might just find your perfect match.
